FESCOL completed the first transparent BIPV project in Tianjin as well as north China in October 2015.

The project applies to the latest generation of translucent a-Si film cell components in the Binhai First Nursing Home. The system can meet power need of lighting in the building  and remaining capacity is used for needs of other electrical devices due to daily generating capacity of 50kWh. The BIPV components not only perfectly integrates with buildings, a practical function also provides the building free power. Moreover the system enables sun shade while reducing energy consumption of the building in summer. Service life of the new green technology is up to 25 years or above with better economy of approximately 5 years payback period.
