The first SolarTile® which is perfectly integrated with buildings in Tianjin, China was completed in March 2016.

SolarTile® is derived from the latest generation of functional building materials by a scientific power Sweden. Its shape is identical to conventional cement tile with artistic appearance and thermal efficiency up to 60% (10-15% higher than that of conventional photo-thermal system). These features solve the long-run problem of aesthetics and functionality integration for green buildings.  

The technology was applied to an Eco mansion resort the Tianjin Jixian Jidong 1 Hotel. 40 m2 solar tiles provide heat which satisfies over 35% annual heat consumption of the building to the hotel for domestic hot water and part of heating in winter. Economy, technicality and sustainability all can be aligned.
